For hundreds of years, Windsor was famous for the quality and consistency of its beers but all that came to a stop in 1931 with the closure of the of last brewery. In 2010 we brought craft brewing back to the heart of Windsor and our beers have won over 70 international, national, regional and local awards. Craft beer is a truly global movement, and we’ve created collaborative brews with other independent breweries all round the world. Here in Windsor, we work with many local businesses and charities and in 2018 we were awarded a royal warrant to supply beer to Queen Elizabeth II.
The Taproom opened in the Autumn of 2021 and is located on the same site as the brewery. Boasting upto 22 beers on tap of our flagship Bitters, IPAs and Pilsners alongside some guest beers and ciders, the bar is the perfect place to come and enjoy freshly brewed award-winning beers. Alongside our fantastic range of beers, we have an extensive alternative offering including Wine, Cocktails, Mocktails, Spirits and Soft Drinks.
We have a fantastic kitchen run by Test Kitchen Food who serve a top-notch menu, including freshly cooked burgers using high quality Windsor Farm beef. The full menu can be found on our website.
Alongside our Bar and Kitchen, we have a large range of events and activities including our state of the art shuffleboard, more details can be found on our website and social media channels.
With teas & coffee and free wi-fi, the Unit 4 Taproom makes a great place to hot desk and meet clients.
Our Mezzanine level and Meeting room can also be hired for many different events or occasions.
Ever wondered how the beer is made? Want to know the stories behind our beers? Want to taste a range of different beers? If so, then our brewery tours are for you.
They are fun, friendly, and informative, rating 5* on TripAdvisor and 4.9* on Google. We host our brewery tours at 12:30 & 15:00 every Saturday.
Your brewery guide will tell you about the history of brewing in the town and how Windsor & Eton grew from an idea to brewing one and a half million pints a year.
You will sample raw ingredients as well as finished beers and be shown round the brew house to see and smell the beer at every stage of the brewing process.
**By Car**: If you are driving, you can use a GPS or map to navigate to the brewery's address: 1-4 Vansittart Estate, Windsor SL4 1SE. There is limited parking available, so it's advisable to check for nearby parking options in advance.
By Train from London. Two options: 1. Paddington to Slough and then change onto the link train that takes you to Windsor Central station. Leave the platform at stairs (opposite end to the ticket office ie turning left as you get off the train) leading down to the bus park. Walk away from town with the train viaduct on your LHS until you reach the end of the car park (ie after the bus park) – go under the viaduct on your left and the brewery is at the far end of the building immediately ahead of you with the entrance at the front Windsor and Eton Brewery.
2. Waterloo to Windsor and Eton Riverside station. Leave the station turning right down the hill and follow the riverside path upstream (left), crossing up and over Eton Bridge (but staying on the Windsor side) and continuing to follow the path along the side of the river all the way till you see the Hawker Hurricane statue (full scale ‘flying’ model plane). Turning left go under the railway viaduct and the brewery is at the building immediately ahead of you with the entrance at the front Windsor and Eton Brewery.
