Short breaks & Weekend Getaways

Guildford is close to Heathrow and Gatwick airports, and served by the M25, M3 and A3. Sample excellent shopping (voted best luxury shopping destination outside of London by Experian), walking and cycling (the route of the 2012 Cycling Road race), vineyards to, stately homes and beautiful gardens, and evenings filled with live music, quality drama and comedy.

World-class, award-winning attractions, plus miles of coastline and centuries of history, make Portsmouth the ideal tourist destination. What's more, many points of interest are clustered nearby on Britain's only island city, making it easy to walk between them.

East Hampshire is rich in opportunities for walking, hiking and cycling, making it the perfect place for an active weekend break. The 50-mile Shipwrights Way is open to cyclists and walkers alike and takes in some exceptionally beautiful countryside between Alice Holt Forest near Farnham and across the South Downs. The Hangers Way, South Downs Way, St Swithun’s Way and the Pilgrim’s Way also pass through the area. 

Maidstone has a spectacular selection of things to discover, explore and enjoy, from castles, to cycling, walking and a huge variety of events which run through all the seasons, offering a great deal of fun and enjoyment for all.  It has great shopping but does not close at 5pm and runs on into the night with lively bars, good restaurants and clubs.
