Hidden in the walls, for 100 years or more, Dr. John's Clinic has been home to millions of stories and their long-forgotten authors. Layers of pain, paper, and paint, shrouding love and hope, cover rooms designed to keep people in, and doors designed to keep people out.

Dr. John's Clinic, a place for the poor, the feeble-minded and the scientists is open for business again, and the voices are loud!

Orpheus theatre makers break out stories hiding within the history of disability. Concealed in old asylums and dusty rooms, we hear and reinterpret long-forgotten voices; ghost brides and grooms forbidden to marry, faces of people whose names we'll never know, children with secrets, imprisoned, and an empty straightjacket lying by a radiator.

We've also found friends who look after each other, Down Syndrome rugby players, a boy band, filmmakers, actors, musicians, artists, dancers, and a trombone...how did we end up here?
