Everyone can spend time looking at the beautiful interiors and historic elements in the Castle as you discover the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, with audio guidebooks available for hire. The stunning grounds and award-winning gardens, with statues, fountains, chess pieces cut from golden yew, 5000 roses, a Loggia at the Lake and many more wonderful sights, is a delight to walk around in.
In the warmer months, jousting tournaments take place throughout the summer holidays, have-a-go archery during school holidays and at weekends, and a programme of fun events all the family will enjoy. You can even hire a boat on the Lake and see the lovely Japanese Tea House Folly!
There is a Military Museum to explore, as well as two mazes; a historic English Yew Maze and a splashing Water Maze. Children will also enjoy the Tudor Towers Adventure Playground, with three towers to climb and two fireman’s poles to escape via, they can discover what’s around each twist and turn. For younger visitors, Acorn Dell is a natural play area where children can freely explore and use their imagination, with exciting features that include a 2 metre high willow structure and a giant sandpit.
Altogether a wonderfully entertaining day out for every member of the family.
You can either buy a ticket to visit the Castle and gardens or just the gardens if you prefer.
