The Isle of Wight is set for another eventful year with an calendar crammed to bursting with festivals, sailing events, music events and family-friendly activities. Being surrounded by water means there's looks of nautical events to enjoy, and with its strong sustainability and food scene, alongside its array of homegrown producers, food festivals, artisan markets, and dining experiences feature heavily in the islands 2025 events calendar.  Heading over to the island with the family?  Look out for fantastic added-value events and experiences being offered at many of the tourist attractions on the island alongside lots of community events to celebrate the island spirit.

What's on in Isle of Wight this weekend?

Don't miss the internationally renowned Round the Island Race (7th June 2025), Rolex Fashnet Race which sets sail from Cowes (26th July 25) and Cowes Week (2nd - 8th August 2025). As half of the Isle of Wight is a National Landscape, previously known as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB), the dramatic scenery and beautiful countryside play a starring role in any visit.  Explore this with the Isle of Wight Walking Festival (10th - 18th May 2025 or 4th - 12th October 2025), Isle of Wight BioFest (28th June - 6th July 25) or the Royal Isle of Wight Country Show (12th - 13th July 25) 

You'll find lots of family fun events to enjoy including The Big Brick Build (12th - 21st April), Easter Firework Eggstravaganza (19th April) (F), Riverfest (10th May 25) (F), Sandown Childrens Carnival (26th July 25) (F). Make a visit to Carisbrook Castle and walk the walls with the breathtaking views, or visit one of the most famous houses on the Island, Osborne, it's a great choice whenever you visit.  Why not take a stroll down to Queen Victoria's private beach, explore the royal childrens playhouse and marvel at the stunning Durbar Room.  A  visit combines history, the coast and the countryside in one and is a great value day out for all the family.
