The Port of Dover is Europe’s busiest ferry port, a vital international gateway for the movement of people and trade.
Originally established in 1606, it is also an award-winning cruise port, the second busiest in the UK and hosts some of the world’s most prestigious cruise lines. Other successful businesses include a cargo terminal, a top award-winning marina and several niche activities.
Whether you are travelling to Kent or stopping off before setting off to an adventurous holiday, there is plenty to do around Dover and it's surrounding areas.
Why not wander along the top of the White Cliffs of Dover, looking out over the English Channel at the sailing boats, fishing vessels and huge ferries as they float by.
The Port of Dover offers routes to Calais as well as several other destinations sailing from cruises so it's no wonder the port is known as the 'Gateway to Europe'.
