Harwich International Port is one of the UK’s leading multi-purpose freight and passenger ports.
Built as a rail ferry port in the 1880s by the Great Eastern Railway, Harwich International Port has developed and expanded over more than a century into a highly efficient modern port.
Whether you are returning from a cruise or visiting the area on holiday, there is plenty to do within the surrounding area.
Within driving distance from the port and just a stone's throw away from London, you can experience Kent's breathtaking English landscape.
In the heart of Kent you will find the town of Maidstone, 32 miles south-east of London, home of the Leeds Castle that remains a spectacular day out for all the family with great events throughout the year.
Or why not visit the ancient cathedral city of Rochester, with its Norman castle was place cherished by the Victorian novelist, Charles Dickens.
Harwich International Port has connecting passenger services from Hook of Holland, Esbjerg (Denmark) and IJmuiden (The Netherlands).
