Housed in the stunning Georgian building are 2 art galleries – the exhibitions of which rotate nine times each year, sculpture garden, studio gallery as well as permanent displays of the internationally renowned costume collection, fine and decorative art, toys, social history, and archaeology. Whilst visiting, enjoy browsing the Museum gift shop, which sells a range of museum memorabilia as well as gifts and cards, made by local suppliers. Want to learn more? Throughout the year, Worthing Museum and Art Gallery offer a varied programme of both adult and children activities and workshops. There are also workshops for the under 5’s, as well as the museum mice trail. With a dedicated education service for schools who wish to visit the Museum and take part in workshops, as well as loan boxes including Victorian, Toys and pre-history, there really is something for everyone!
From A24 follow signs to Broadwater town centre. Over railway bridge and 2 mini-roundabouts. At 3rd mini-roundabout take 2nd exit into Chapel Road. Town Hall and Museum are on right hand side before traffic lights, opposite Worthing Post office. Town centre car parks are nearby.
Bus route 700 or the Pulse stops near the Library. Routes 1 and 23 stop at the Town Hall. The Musuem is next to the Town Hall. Worthing railway station is 10-15 minute walk (taxis are available).
