Using the freshest seasonal ingredients, many sourced directly from Italy; the variedrestaurant menu provides something for everyone, with dishes prepared on site daily by Carluccio’s chefs.
Begin with an Aperol Spritz or Bellini at the bar, together with classic Italian aperitivo Pasta Fritta (homemade pasta ‘crisps’ with herbs and sea salt) or Verdura Fritta (courgette, aubergine and peppers in a crispy batter). Must-try first courses include Arancini di Riso (twobreadcrumbed and deep fried risotto balls filled with pesto and Carluccio’s meat ragu; served with red pepper sauce) and the delicious Bruschettine (mini bruschetta with tomatoes and peppers, goats’ cheese, onion jam and chicken liver pâté). For main course, there are over 11 pasta dishes to choose from, including Gnocchi al Gorgonzola (fresh potato gnocchi with a gorgonzola and spinach sauce); classic Spaghetti Carbonara (spaghetti, egg and smoky pancetta – simple and delicious); or the tasting trio for two option for those who can’t decide. Other mains include Zuppa di Pesce (fish stew with prawns, clams, pollock fillet and mussels, with spicy sausage, tomatoes, garlic, a little chilli and anise) and Fegato alla Griglia (pan fried UK rose calves liver with red onion jam and sautéed potatoes).
Homemade desserts include an indulgent Tiramisu ai Frutti di Bosco (mascarpone cream with light sponge, berries and raspberry coulis) and CioccolatoFondente (a warm chocolate pudding baked with almonds and Kahlua and served with vanilla ice cream).
