Crafting the perfect day out - Enjoy a unique experience enjoying truly elegant travel.
Vintage Days Out combines beautiful vintage cars and elegant vintage boats to provide memorable days out or a special mode of transport for weddings and special occasions. Let Vintage Days Out transport you into a world of pure indulgence.
Our cars are high quality pre-war vintage models including marques such as Rolls Royce, maintained to the highest standards, offering an experience of how the well-to-do travelled in times gone by.
The high standard runs not only through the vehicles that we use but also through all our partners and crews. We individually select venues for their quality of service and offering, and all our people are experienced and have a wealth of knowledge about the river and the area.
Enjoy a relaxing once-in-a-lifetime experience enjoying truly elegant travel with top class cuisine included. You can choose from a selection of luxury packages:
An unmatched countryside welcome
This includes Vintage Days Out’s country house experience. It combines a private visit given by one of the owning family, together with lunch served in a private dining room on the estate and the afternoon spent cruising on an idyllic stretch of the River Thames
The relaxed gourmet
Our gourmet restaurant offering involves sightseeing by car, time spent on the river and lunch at a delightful high-quality riverside restaurant.
A picnic par excellence
Alternatively, for a totally relaxing and private day why not book Vintage Days Out’s sumptuous luxury picnic option? Created and prepared for you by one of Oxfordshire’s top chefs, this luxury picnic will be one to remember. Later in the day you can enjoy a quintessential English vintage cream tea.
All our packages are inclusive of meals with wine, drinks on board boat during the day, as well as all transfers from your hotel or home as required. All the venues we use are personally selected, offering the highest standard of cuisine and service.
Lazing about on the river.
Maybe you don’t need a reason other than a wish to enjoy a wonderful time lazing about on the river. For the larger numbers your boat will include an experienced skipper and a host.
Vintage Days Out offer a full package experience or you can provide your own food and drink by arrangement.
Book an Afternoon Tea experience
Picture yourself on a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. The sun is shining, and you’re holding a glass of champagne. Watch the afternoon drift by as you relax on one of our superbly-restored vintage boats. And take in the sights, including the magnificent wildlife that inhabits this un-spoilt stretch of the Thames in South Oxfordshire and Berkshire. And when the fancy takes you, indulge in our on board: Chef prepared buffet/picnic lunches, Cream teas, or Champagne afternoon teas. Eat. Drink and relax as our experienced skippers navigate you along the Thames
Special Occasions – Vintage Cars & Boats
Maybe you’re looking for a romantic location for an engagement, want to celebrate an anniversary or just entertain a special group of friends? Or a birthday or other special occasion? Choose a superb vintage boat with hospitality to match? It can include a lunch stop at a top-quality riverside restaurant fully booked, and planned for you.
