Amberley Castle has a long-held reputation for delivering outstanding cuisine.
Our dining, enjoyed on the first floor of the castle in either the magnificent Queen's Room, with its barrel-vaulted ceiling dating back to the 12th century and open fire or the Great Room, built in 1165 by Bishop Luffa of Chichester, a fine example of Norman architecture with its high lancet windows, open fireplace, oak flooring, tapestry, and suits of armour.

From Arundel
Follow the signs to London, after four miles you will come to a roundabout. Take the third exit signposted to Amberley B2139. In Amberley pass the station on the right side and look for the white Relais & Châteaux flag on the left, which clearly marks the entrance of the driveway to Amberley Castle. Continue up the drive onto the Castle's turning circle and make your way to reception.
From Storrington
In Storrington, from the roundabout with a Tesco petrol station, follow the sign to Amberley B2139. After four miles you will arrive in Amberley. Please ignore signs to “Amberley Village” and look for the white Relais & Châteaux flag on the right which clearly marks the entrance of the driveway to Amberley Castle. Continue up the drive onto the Castle's turning circle and make your way to reception.
A direct train runs from London Victoria hourly to Amberley Station (Journey time 1hour 20minutes). Please note, there is no taxi rank at the station and although it is a relatively short walk to the castle we would not recommend walking with luggage. Please contact our reception team and we will be happy to organise a taxi for you.
