Bekonscot Model Village and Railway is the world's oldest and original model village, opening for the first time in 1929. Bekonscot delights visitors of all ages. It is a miniature wonderland with a large Gauge 1 railway, where nobody grows up. Sit-on railway*, remote controlled boats* and kiddie rides*, Tea Room and Gift Shop. *small extra charge applies.
Little Known facts:
1. Bekonscot had Midsomer Murders film episode 'Small Mercies' in 2009 where the model village was the scene of a murder.
2. From the early 1930s Bekonscot has had many Royal Visits, including Queen Mary, HM Queen Elizabeth 11, HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and others.
3. Enid Blyton’s book “Enchanted Village” is based on Bekonscot.
