Elmbridge Borough

About

Elmbridge is where town and country meet: a green Surrey borough within easy reach of London.

The borough is located in the north of the county and borders greater London.  It is a mix of urban towns and areas of countryside and small villages.  It is the perfect place for a short break as a base to explore both further afield in Surrey or a day trip to London.

Elmbridge is lucky enough to have three rivers flowing through the borough, including the Wey, Mole and Thames.  All three offer a great deal to visitors, from boat trips, and rowing, to walks along the rivers-edge and nearby countryside.  The surrounding commons provide rich havens for wildlife and green space for visitors to explore for walking or on horse-back.

Attractions to visit include, the magnificent Hampton Court Palace the favoured home of Henry VIII.  Claremont Landscape Garden and the 18th century Painshill Park both offer wonderful settings for a day out. The exciting attractions of Sandown Park and Kempton Park racecourses, Brookland Museum - the home of British Motorsport and Aviation as well as Mercedes-Benz World are also close by.

Within the borough there are two large towns of Walton-upon-Thames and Esher as well as smaller villages such as Weybridge and Claygate.
