The Powell-Cotton Museum in Birchington, Kent features permanent exhibitions. It has natural history collections set in dioramas as well as objects from Africa and Asia.
On February15th & 16th the Ethiopian collections will be unveiled in a brand new updated display. This new exhibition will be the first phase of works to learn more about this collection and the people and communities who crafted and used the collections.
Beautiful religious artefacts will be on display, giving the opportunity to learn about the ceremony, artistry and historical significance of the Orthodox religion in the country.
There is still more work to be done on researching the Ethiopian collection and we welcome anyone with cultural connections to the country to share their insights with us.
