Join us for a workshop inspired by Dora Carrington and the Omega workshop, where you'll sketch from the exhibition and create personalised clay tiles using decorative techniques.
In this workshop you can expect to learn clay modelling techniques, such as base relief, sgraffito techniques and painting clay with coloured slips.
Helen Friend will lead this workshop starting with a trip to the exhibition, sketching from direct observation, collecting a range of decorative motifs and details from the Omega Workshop designs and decorative art of Carrington.
Helen will biscuit fire your tile and you can pick it up at the Gallery – this may take up to 3 weeks. We will let you know when you can come and collect it.
