We are delighted to present David Mayne as our festive Sculptor in Focus. A sculptor of national repute, David works for galleries, public spaces, and private homes across the country. His distinctive sculptures can be found in town centres, rural locations, and public buildings, making his art an integral part of both urban and natural landscapes. Each piece is proudly crafted in Yorkshire, reflecting David's deep connection to his materials his environment and the surrounding nature.
With over 30 years of experience, David's style has evolved from raw assemblage using found objects to the refined and sophisticated sculptures and popular miniatures he creates today.
His work in Farnham includes the much-loved Farnham Sculpture, commissioned as part of the World Craft Town initiative, proudly standing outside the New Ashgate Gallery since 2019.
