The New Ashgate Gallery curates more than 25 annual exhibitions and workshops of contemporary craft and fine art in the heart of Farnham, World Craft Town.
We believe the work of artists and makers enriches life and that new talent needs to be nurtured and encouraged. That is why we have supported early career artists and makers for over 60 years. But it doesn't stop there. We are a charity and we do not make a profit: everything we make is reinvested in promoting and encouraging arts and crafts from free community craft workshops to professional projects. Every time you follow, like, visit, buy from us, become a patron, or donate you help us enrich life through art and craft.
All of the events are free to attend, including exhibitions, craft workshops and maker events.
The gallery is situated on the edge of Waggon Yard car park, the corner of Downing Street and Union Road. We are a five-minute walk from Farnham Station that is served from London Waterloo (55 minutes).
Farnham Station is served from and to Guidford and London Waterloo. Farnham is situated in the heart of the Surrey Hills, 11 miles south-west of Guildford and is signposted from the A3, A31, M3 and A287. There is a pay & display car park in the front of the gallery.
