Afternoon tea and tour at Mill at Sonning Reading

About

Enjoy a fascinating Behind-The-Scenes tour of The Mill at Sonning, near Reading

Your visit will start with a talk about The Mill from Managing & Artistic Director, followed by a Q&A session and a Backstage Tour led by some of our most experienced members of staff.

The Mills history stretches right back to the Civil War, whilst the building you see today dates back to around 1890, using waterwheels for power to drive machinery. When the mill closed in 1969, it was one of the last flour mills on the Thames driven by wheels. The Mill at Sonning dinner theatre opened in July 1982.

After your tour you will return to the Waterwheel Bar where an indulgent Afternoon Tea shall be waiting for you on your table!

Tuck into a sumptuous selection of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam, yummy homemade cakes and hot drinks.
