Terry set up his guided walks of Reading 6 years ago to pass on his love of local history and culture, Reading’s famous people, its myths and battles, gardens, architecture, gardens, buildings and so much more and also to get himself fitter! The walks have also raised over £12,500 for local charities in the last four years and he now offers a range of 18 different routes and themes, from Huntley & Palmer's Biscuit Town to Influential Reading Women to specific Reading conservation areas, Reading’s Photographic Heritage, a Ghost & Halloween walk or Crime and Punishment. He also offers a general introduction to Reading town centre.
Terry has lived in Reading all his life (and his parents before him) and feels that so many people now living or travelling to Reading don’t know about or fully appreciate the History, Heritage & Culture it has to offer.
