Westgate Hall has picturesque vaulted ceilings and exposed beams and has been restored to create a picture perfect venue with outstanding character.
It is licensed to conduct weddings and civil ceremonies and accommodate up to seventy-four guests.
Once situated in St Michael's Square, where it was the town's fish market and cloth hall, it was dismantled in 1634 and the timbers were used to construct the lovely building you see today.
It was then used as a warehouse and archaeological store before becoming a venue for conferences, concerts, wedding and civil ceremonies.
Over the years, it has been the start of many historic journeys.
Henry and his troops off to Agincourt, the Pilgrim Fathers off to a new life in America, the Allied Troops off to the Normandy beaches for the D-Day landings, and today the start of a new journey if you choose this historic venue for your ceremony.
Westgate Hall is located within Southampton's Old Walls — making it an individual and unique venue location.
Westgate Hall is very close to West Quay Shopping Centre and all the different bus services that are available there. Westgate Hall is a short taxi ride from Southampton Central Station.
