About

Southampton Stories is an exhibition inside SeaCity Museum, that tells the stories of the city's rich maritime history, its local history, its people, archaeology and the events and activities that have impacted the city through time.  Using different themes it uses artefacts from museum collections to showcase both big occassions but also often forgotten stories that make Southampton what it is today.

Be guided through Southampton's historic timeline from the war to the present day.  Discover how sport and leisure, the docks and trade have influenced the city and understand how different community groups and their stories influence what you see today.

Exhibitions change all the time but the latest one is called Sugar, Politics and Money: Southampton’s links with the transatlantic slave trade.
