Chiltern Open Air Museum

About

Chiltern Open Air Museum is set in 45 acres of beautiful woodland and countryside and is home to over 30 rescued historic buildings. A number of the Museum’s collection of historic buildings are available for wedding receptions or parties on a dry hire basis. Seven of the Museum’s buildings are now licensed for wedding ceremonies.

There are three barn wedding venues available: Northolt barn, Skippings barn, and Arborfield barn all of which are licenced for civil ceremonies. Each barn can be hired separately, or as part of a combined package to increase capacity.  There is space to erect a marquee next to Skippings barn if desired.

The Museum’s Victorian toll house, Iron Age roundhouse, Henton tin chapel, and Thame Vicarage are also licenced for civil ceremonies. The buildings can be hired individually or as part of a combined package.

The Museum has no onsite catering so you are able to choose your own caterer. There are no restrictions on suppliers and no corkage fees allowing you to plan a wedding suited to your own style. Suppliers will need to provide the Museum with copies of their insurance and health and safety documents.
