The Bell in Ticehurst is a traditional, but wholly unique pub and hotel in the centre of the village of Ticehurst in East Sussex. There’s delicious food in the restaurant and a quirky atmosphere throughout.
There are eleven bedrooms in total. Seven are in the main building, all furnished in a traditional style and some with copper roll top baths. In the garden, there are three lodges set around a fire pit. Based on Kentish oast houses, they have a unique style all of their own. There is also the Love Nest, complete with a rooftop terrace and log burner.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and offers traditional pub food, but served with a twist. Our team of chefs make full use of the local and seasonal produce that abound in the area.
The pub is a relaxing, friendly place where guests and locals can meet, perhaps to enjoy one of the locally brewed real ales on offer. In the cooler months, a roaring log fire is a welcome sight. From the pub, you can step straight into the garden where there’s plenty of space to wander and enjoy the flowers and plants.
The Bell is also a fully licensed wedding venue - you can have the ceremony here, then enjoy a meal with all your guests in either the Assembly Room or Stable.
