Sit back and relax with Southeastern, Kent’s premier rail provider, running train services to and from over 90 stations around Kent. As the quickest mode of transport and with great value fares, it’s the perfect way to explore the county without a car.
Southeastern operates the popular High Speed service, a super-fast train travelling at speeds of up to 140mph from London St Pancras into Kent.
Proving the best way to travel during the 2012 Olympic Games, with direct stops at Stratford International, there are also stops at Ebbsfleet and Ashford International for Eurostar services. Taking just 37 minutes from London to Ashford, the trains are named after Britain fastest athletes including Dame Kelly Holmes and Sir Chris Hoy.
Southeastern operates 2 types of travelling; Peak and Off-Peak. Peak times are the busiest and vary from weekdays to weekends, however is usually early morning (6-9am) and in the later afternoon (5-8pm). Off-peak times are the quieter trains and offer the best value ticket prices, although you may be required to travel at specific times of the day, days of the week or on a specific route.
With a variety of tickets to suit your needs, Southeastern ensure you can get from attraction to attraction with minimal fuss and costs. Buying train tickets online couldn’t be easier, and they will be posted first class free of charge, or you can collect from the self-service ticket machine at the station.
Some of the most popular and best value tickets include the Weekender ticket (allowing you return travel off-peak across the weekend), a Group Save ticket, (where 4 people can travel for the price of 2 adults when travelling together), or the Kids for a Quid ticket, a great option for family days out.
