On the speckled shingle beach, fishing smacks and yachts find a home while the gentle tide slides over a pebbled shore. gulls ride on calm breezes, casting small shadows on the roofs of weatherboard cottages.

The beach at Whistable is one of very few in the country that has the benefit of a pub on it! Whitstable has excellent conditions for water sports and is a popular windsurfing and sailing destination.

Choose to swim, stroll or sit and enjoy the stunning sunsets on this popular beach. Looking out to sea from Whitstable, the vista feeds the imagination and takes visitors back to another age. And fresh breezes and a taste of salt in the air whet the appetite for more of the town's magic.
