The Look Out Discovery Centre is a fun place to visit with all the family. There are more than 90 hands-on science and discovery activities, all waiting to be pulled, pushed or prodded! The hands-on activities are mostly geared towards primary school and pre-school children. However, there is something for all ages! Can you really leave your shadow on the wall? Come and make a mini animation, fire up a hydrogen rocket, build an unfinished house, launch the hot air balloon or create circuits (plus, much more).
We have a programme of exciting science shows for families at weekends and Bracknell Forest holidays and for school groups during term-time. Please look at the website for details of the current science show.
The centre is set in Swinley Forest, which has over 1,000 hectares of woodland. Outside is a popular adventure play area, orienteering course, walks and trails and picnic area. There is something to keep everyone happy for a couple of hours or even a whole day – stop for a drink, or find pocket money items, books and toys inside The Look Out gift shop.
We are approximately 3.7 miles from junction 3 of the M3 and 4.1 miles from junction 10 of the M4.
The Look Out Discovery Centre is opposite Coral Reef - look out for the brown signs three miles from Bracknell Town Centre.
