The Hanger is located amidst the beautiful countryside in the village of Oakhanger, Hampshire. It is thought that the pub dates back as far as 1550 and was previously known as The Red Lion & The Rising Sun Inn.
Our pub offers a light contemporary dining room where we showcase the best in seasonal food, championing Hampshire's best suppliers. Or you can enjoy a pint of Hampshire Ale or choose from our extensive gin and wine menu in the cosy bar area with a selection of delicious bar snacks.
On sunny days you can enjoy our secluded terrace or have drinks on the lawn and watch the world go by!
Dog Friendly - your four legged best friends are able to join you on the bar side or outside. If you are booking a table please let us know of any dogs accompanying and we can make sure we reserve you a suitable table. Treats and water bowls are always available too.
Child Friendly - we welcome families to join us and provide a children's menu and highchairs. We do not allow children into the bar in the evening.
Visiting us - we strongly recommend booking your taxis in advance on any given day/night. There is no local transport services and taxis are hard to get if not booked. We are happy to recommend local firms if you contact us.
Private Dining & Functions - we are happy to offer private dining options in our sung (up to 10), in the bar (up to 18) or in our main dining room (up to 35). All functions are bespoke and quoted on request.
