The Lee

About

The Lee sits around a very pretty village green in the heart of the Chilterns. It is featured in many TV programmes such as 'Midsomer Murders' and is described by the BBC as "the most perfect village in England". Local benefactors, the Liberty family used to live at 'Pipers' whose garden displays the figurehead from the navy's last wooden warship, HMS Impregnable. The ship's timbers were used in extending the famous family store - Liberty's of London.
