Winchester
Sparsholt is a village and civil parish in Hampshire and lies to the west of Winchester, and has a population of 967.
The village is relatively small so it has a very good depth of services within centre, and all located within 100m of each other.
There is a primary school, Church (of St. Stephen), village hall, telephone box and the small village shop with post office.
Just west of the village is Sparsholt Roman Villa. It was constructed in phases from the 2nd to the 4th century, and then abandoned.
One wing of the villa has been reconstructed at Butser Ancient Farm.
Sparsholt College is a leading land-based college and home to the BBC Radio 4 Gardeners' Question Time 'potting shed'.
The college is located on the outskirts of the village and also provides conferences and events that is surrounded by 450 acres of breathtaking Hampshire countryside.
The peaceful rural site is perfect for ramblers, cyclists, training and residential conferences alike.
If you wish to stay in Sparsholt then look no further than Lainston House Hotel - charming 17th century William and Mary house standing elegantly in 63 acres of Hampshire parkland.
With an abundance of atmosphere and character, your stay can take you on a memorable journey through the elegant lounges and drawing rooms, scented gardens where you can indulge in afternoon tea and wonderfully individual bedrooms with unique Hampshire views.
