Throughout the year, the town hosts internationally-renowned sporting events and festivals, including the Henley Royal Regatta, the Literary Festival, Henley in Bloom and the Christmas Festival. 

Henley’s 15th century Chantry House, the River & Rowing Museum and St. Mary’s Parish Church, dating from 1204, bring the town’s rich heritage and culture to life. 

Henley-on-Thames, aka Causton, has appeared in numerous episodes of Midsomer Murders. Visitors can retrieve a map from the Visitor Information Centre that will allow them to embark on a self-guided walking trail of Henley’s Midsomer locations.

Public Transport Directions

Henley has its own railway station, with London Paddington just under an hour away. There is a good bus service with three buses per hour linking Henley with Reading, High Wycombe and Wallingford, with the option to connect onward to Oxford.
