Hambledon is a small village and civil parish in the county of Hampshire, situated about 15 miles north of Portsmouth.

The village is best known as the 'Cradle of Cricket'. It is thought that the club is one of the oldest cricket clubs known and was formed about 1750.

Hambledon is a rural village surrounded by fields and woods. There are about 400 households with just under 1,000 residents.

Hambledon Vineyard is the oldest commercial vineyard in England and aside from the onsite wine making activities, Hambledon Vineyard regularly opens its doors to wine lovers.

If you're looking to have a quiet drink or something to eat then the The Bat and Ball inn is an ideal pub for all the family.

The newly restored late 17th century Inn was used to house the clubroom for members of Hambledon Cricket Club.

There is a large restaurant to the rear of the building, with a wide and comprehensive menu.

Why not visit Butser Ancient Farm, nestled within the Southdowns National Park, it is a wonderful outdoor space showcasing Ancient Britain through experimental archaeology.
