Winchester Torchlight Procession & Fireworks
Winchester
Winchester
Head to the centre of historic Winchester for the annual torchlight procession and fireworks night event, taking place this year on Saturday 8th November 2025. Organised by the Winchester Round Table this event is a must for all firework fans, filling the historic city streets with families, groups of friends, visitors and residents alike.
The torchlight procession is an annual tradition in Winchester, wandering from The Broadway, along the High Street towards the North Walls Recreation Ground. With candles flickering against the night sky, the streets are filled with a sense of excitment as the procession slowly meanders through the streets to the recreation ground before the lighting of the bonfire and firework display. With thousands gather the bonfire, fireworks and procession is a sight to behld and a fantastic way to celebrate the failed plot of Guy Fawkes.
Visitor can buy a wax torch from on of the vendors along the High Street before the procession starts, and then walk the route, a wristband ticket must be purchased to gain entry to the bonfire and fireworks display ground. These can be purchased in advance or from a counter on the evening, however this can be very busy. All profits from this event go to local organisations and charities, sparking a difference in our local community.
Roads will be temporarily closed around Winchester city centre and we expect heavy traffic on the night.
Free to attend fireworks, wax candles for procession are at a small charge.
