The SWEAT Fitness & Wellbeing Festival returns to Gunwharf Quays on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May 2024 for two action-packed days, promising to inspire and celebrate active and healthy lifestyles within the community.
Originating in 2015 as the Southsea Fitness Festival, this event was the brainchild of founders Luke and Tina Newton, who envisioned a platform to promote wellness while championing local businesses in the health and wellbeing sector. With each passing year, the festival has grown exponentially, culminating in its relocation to Gunwharf Quays in 2021.
The festival lineup boasts a diverse array of local and independent businesses, alongside esteemed fitness and health coaches, all coming together with special guests and renowned brands with the same purpose; to inspire!
Among the confirmed collaborators are industry leaders such as BH Live and The Recovery Room, each adding their unique flair to the event.
A standout feature of this year's festival is the return of the exhilarating 'Power up the Tower' challenge, inviting participants to conquer a daunting 560+ stair climb up the iconic Spinnaker Tower, setting the tone for a weekend of empowerment and achievement.
The event's mission is to foster a culture of wellness within the local community, while also showcasing the incredible businesses that contribute to the wellbeing of this wonderful city.
BH Live will be back to inspire more people across the city to get active. This year the team will be showcasing a dazzling array of the classes, sports and activities that BH Live provides in partnership with Portsmouth City Council. They will also be shining a spotlight on some of their leisure and sports centres, including Mountbatten, Pyramids, and the Tennis and Gymnastics Centre. Expect membership offers, inspiration, incentives, and day passes so attendees can give their fitness regime a kickstart.
The festival will take place over the weekend of the 4th and 5th May and is free to attend.
