This is a very unique opportunity to step back in time and take part in a traditional Regency Ball which celebrates 250 years of Jane Austen.
Be serenaded by The Warleggan Village Band (as seen on BBC TV's Poldark) and enjoy a dance performance by the Hampshire Regency Dancers before taking to the floor yourself.
Feel transported to another time and enjoy an unforgettable evening with family and friends.
With Jane Austen buried inside Winchester Cathedral, there's no better location to celebrate her 250th anniversary and honour her legacy.

Standard: £40.00
Two tickets: £36.00 per ticket

Dress code
It's not mandatory to wear Regency attire, but this offers a great chance to dig out your glad rags. A great opportunity to get another wear out of your prom, bridesmaid or wedding dress, or your best suit!
If you'd like to hire a costume, we'd recommend browsing this list which has been put together by Jane Austen Regency Week which includes Hampshire Wardrobe.
We kindly ask that you don't wear heeled shoes such as stilettos which may damage the ancient floor, thankfully, flat shoes are much easier to dance in!
Timings
7.30pm – Doors open for reception with one complimentary drink per person. Choices for complimentary drinks include a glass of prosecco, bottled beer, or an elderflower non-alcoholic beverage.
8.00pm – The ball begins.
10.00pm – End of the ball. Don't worry though, with the cathedral only a stones throw away from the city's best pubs and bars, you could continue your night into the early hours.
There will be a bar selling a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Stay hydrated and dance the night away.
" The only Regency Ball in the world where you can dance in the same room as Jane Austen "
