Step into the world of 16th century archery and discover the prowess of the Tudor archer! Join the Mary Rose museum for an exciting two-day event filled with live action archery displays and hands-on activities.

How far could an arrow fly? Learn about the impressive range of arrows discovered on the Mary Rose and see just how far they could be shot.

Hitting the mark. Find out how accurate Tudor archers were and how easy — or difficult — it was to hit a target with their powerful longbows.

Could Tudor arrows pierce armour? Discover the devastating impact archers had on the battlefield.

The museum's archery experts, dressed in full period costume, will demonstrate the use of replica historical bows and arrows. You'll witness the impressive display of their skills and learn fascinating facts about Tudor archery.

Plus, there's a chance for kids to give archery a go, too. Children can step into the shoes of an archer and try it out with special kids' have-a-go sessions; a fun and interactive way for young visitors to experience history first hand!

Live archery demos and talks take place at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
