Making Waves Film Festival returns, to extend the cinema experience beyond the expected - and this year features Portsmouth's first immersive cinema experience, plus networking, live music and fresh filmmaking.
Screenings include Alan Parker’s smash hit musical 'The Commitments' as part of Portsmouth's first live immersive experience at the Staggeringly Good brewery, and 'The Secret of the Grain', a beautiful film and dining experience about a man realising his dream to open a restaurant that will be screened with food tastings cooked by chefs from Portsmouth City of Sanctuary’s Kitchen of Hope.
Plus, there will be the Wave Makers Talent Day showcasing creative talent from the region's future BAFTA winners, a BFI Network for insights into the film industry, and a taster workshop of Beyond Boundaries – a programme to enable newcomers to get into producing, programming and curating film events in the region.
Prices vary by event. See the Making Waves Film Festival website for further details and to book.
