A free community festival for all ages that celebrates the River Medway and its historical importance in the development of Maidstone as the county town. There will be a raft race where local groups and businesses will compete in a race in their home-made rafts and a team of paddle boarders will do an entertaining demonstration in fancy dress.
Entertainment will take place all day at Coronation Square at Lockmeadow and the riverfront will be full of visiting boats dressed up. This year's theme is Creative Maidstone. Come along and enjoy a day put on by a team of local volunteers with a passion for this event.
