A great school holiday activity for children to get curious in the countryside.
We've created this special Easter Woodland Challenge for slightly older explorers to go on an adventure with us into the green spaces around Earth Trust Centre.
Armed with a mini nature pack you and your Little Acorn Explorer will be led on a short walk to explore the woodlands around Earth Trust. There they'll take on nature-based challenges to help them become a nature expert, with a springtime scavenger hunt and using a magnifying glass to identify minibeasts we find along the way. We finish the session foraging for natural art materials for a spot of wild art before returning to Earth Lab.
Our Little Acorns sessions run every school holiday and feature a variety of seasonal activities for children to discover, inspired by the natural world. They are child-led experiences, so our tutors support and guide children, but do not direct them, to allow each child to lead their own learning while developing their curiosity for nature.
Suitability: Ages 3 – 7 years
Price: £10 per child (under 2s free) – booking fees apply
