About

Don't miss this chance to visit Storehouse 12 - the National Museum of the Royal Navy’s dedicated Collections Centre - and go on a journey of discovery with a curator to see some unusual and rarely seen objects that were made, owned and used by Royal Navy submariners.

The National Museum of the Royal Navy cares for a collection of over 2.5 million items which includes a fascinating range of objects connected to the Submarine Service. In this tour a curator will share some of the objects that are not on display so are usually unavailable to view. These objects will offer a unique insight into the lives of submariners including their superstitions, traditions and pastimes.

There are two sessions on Wednesday 13 September: 11am to 11.45am and 1pm to 1.45pm.

Pre-booking is essential as numbers will be limited. Please note this tour does not include entrance to the ships or general museum access.
