Join us for a 45-minute stargazing pod journey during the 2024 Dark Skies festival! This exciting experience includes an insightful talk about Dark Skies and the stars above us from Dark Skies expert, Dan Oakley, and the opportunity to explore the views from the Brighton i360 pod through telescopes. In collaboration with the South Downs National Park Trust.
Dark Skies Stargazing takes place on Saturday 10th February, with two timeslots available: 6:00PM and 7:00PM.

To celebrate this amazing designation the South Downs National Park hold an annual Dark Skies Festival from 10th-18thFebruary 2024 with exciting events across the South Downs National Park.
So, if you love gazing at the stars or want to know more about the moon, then join us on one of our two specially extended journeys on Saturday 10thFebruary to look up from the sparkling lights of Brighton to the star-studded skies overhead. We will be turning off the lights* for two exclusive and extended 45-minute stargazing pod journeys as part of this year’s Festival.
As you glide to 450ft, Dan Oakley from Dark Sky Consulting will hold a talk;‘Dark Skies, infinity and beyond. A beginners guide to the night sky’. The talk will serve as a ‘how to’ guide on how to get the most from your nocturnal sky gazing and is suitable for all ages. While on board there will be also be an opportunity to explore the views from the Brighton i360 pod through telescopes.

Ever stargazed, seen the Moon, Venus or the Orion Nebula through a large telescope? Well now’s your chance! After your pod journey, join the South Downs National Park on the Western Piazza to continue celebrating the South Downs’ Dark Skies Festival. Hot beverages will be available.
