A huge railway event which everyone should come and be part of!
The Bluebell Railway is proud to be launching Britain's newest steam locomotive- 32424 'Beachy Head' between August 23rd and September 1st.
The project, conducted by the dedicated Atlantic House team, involved painstaking research, sourcing original plans, and even utilising components which the team was lucky enough to find and incorporate into this stunning new build locomotive . With a mix of modern technology and traditional methods, this ambitious project grew and gathered momentum as the years went on. The construction spanned years of meticulous work, which in 2024, reached its ultimate goal and created this amazing new build locomotive that we see today.
Be the first and have your chance to be a part of history as we launch this amazing locomotive into service on our railway. Travel through the wonderful Sussex countryside as our 11-mile-long line travels through the picturesque High Weald between Sheffield Park & East Grinstead.
As well as this, we will also be running an exclusive Golden Arrow & Wealden Rambler dining service on selected days. The perfect gift for any special occasion!
Join us this August and be part of railway history at The Bluebell Railway!
