Most attractions in South East England have accessibility facilities to accommodate wheelchair users and people who struggle with sight, sound and those with learning difficulties.

Check with each attraction on their specific facilities, but see below for a selection across the region to get you started.

Hampshire

Marwell Zoo near Winchester has a range of services and facilities to make visits as enjoyable as possible for everyone. One carer per guest with disability is admitted free of charge, the land trains have designated wheelchair space and there are specially designed exhibits with alternative viewpoints.

Also in Portsmouth, the Mary Rose Museum has been specially designed with access in mind. The site is fully accessible by wheelchair and mobility scooters are available to hire. There are facilities to ensure visually impaired, hearing impaired and visitors with learning difficulties can get the most from their visit.

Sussex & Kent

Drusillas Park in East Sussex is completely wheelchair accessible with flat surfaces and ramps, and wheelchairs are also available to hire on request. Animal enclosures have low level viewing suitable for all and we also offer an access pass for those who should need it.

The great outdoors can be experienced by everyone at Bedgebury Pinetum and be sure to read their accessibility guide before travel.

Surrey

Attractions near Guildford with excellent accessibility facilities include Painshill and Watts Gallery.

North of the region

If you require extra assistance to make sure your children can experience a farm fully then look no further than Fairytale Farm, Oxfordshire, which is the only visitor attraction in the UK to put disabled children first in the design and layout.
