Pumpkin picking, spooky science and endless family fun awaits in South East England this October Half Term. Experience haunted afternoon tea and ghostly walks that will be sure to fright and thrill all ages.
If Halloween is not for you, don't worry, there are still plenty of things to do that will have you jumping head over heels, from indoor trampolining to outdoor bear hunts and the chance to learn about our native wildlife against the backdrop of autumn.

Join in with giggles, gasps and gases at Winchester Science Centre’s Science Spooktacular from Saturday 7th to Monday 30th October. There’ll be giggles galore on the mini monster disco dance floor (half term only). Prepare for fascinated gasps as you swap spooky scares for frightfully fun science in the Trick or Treat trail. And head off on a gassy journey through our digestive system in the new Science Theatre live show, Can You Stomach It. |

Wiggle into your wellies and head off on a family adventure of sensory discovery this October half term as Michael Rosen’s much-loved tale is brought to life at Wakehurst. Journey through ‘swishy-swashy’ grass, ‘splash splosh’ and ‘squelch squerch’ your way through the woodlands of Wakehurst on an expedition in search of a big bear. We’re Going on a Bear Hunt trail is included with entry. Members and children 16 and under go free!

From the Spooky Travelling Tavern, ghost walks and The Dead Zoo to Halloween experiences at Bodiam Castle, Battle Abbey, Drusilla’s and Knockhatch Adventure Park. Enjoy the dark nights without the frights with an evening of stargazing at The Observatory Science Centre, Herstmonceux or try the lantern workshop at Michelham Priory. |
