CHALGROVE VILLAGE MAY DAY FESTIVAL
The largest and best free entry festival in South Oxfordshire is held every May Day Bank Holiday Monday in the village of Chalgrove. With around 4000 people visiting the festival it is an excellent family day out with much to do for all the family.
Chalgrove Village May Day Festival begins at 12.00 with the start of the amazing Chalgrove Festival 10k Run – over 400 runners completing a lap through beautiful South Oxfordshire countryside – and there is plenty more going on for the whole family to enjoy a wonderful day...
Free attractions include the fantastic Wayne Wonder (an award winning balloon modeller and children's entertainer), live music, displays and entertainment in two arenas, classic car display and an RAF helicopter.
There are many stalls at the Festival, some selling arts and crafts, others raising money for local organisations and various charities.
For the more adventurous (young and not so young!) there are fairground rides, go-karts and a bouncy slide!
For sustenance a variety of food stalls can be found around the Festival ground providing everything from traditional delights such as candy floss, ice cream and burgers through to pizza and West Indian meals. And to wash it all down a licenced bar selling, amongst other things, real ale!
Chalgrove Village May Day Festival - a great day out for ALL the family.
